As you may have noticed we have made it so orders without addresses no longer appear in “to print” filters.

Why have we done this:
This is specifically to remove a customer service task (getting the address from a customer) from a warehouse tasks (printing orders that need to be dispatched).

As an operation grows we think typically customer service and warehouse pick pack and dispatch end up as separate roles filled by separate people, having the items without addresses appearing on the to print lists disrupts the workflow of the dispatch person.

Likewise having a separate status allows the customer service person to quickly check if there are any addresses they need to follow up.

We have also created an default automated email setup that will allow the system to automatically email the pending details orders customer requesting their address. Allowing at least the initial email follow up of missing addresses to be completely automated.

We understand that this can cause some disruption for people that have become used to but we believe once you settle into the new system it will be more efficient and you will be in a better position for separation and delegation of task for the future growth of your operation.
